Thomas Family Reunion

Well we had a blast! Great food, fun boating, kayaking, singing, biking, playing games, playing Wii, just hanging out, reading books, and lots of love from my 14 grand kids!

A special Thanks to Michal for finding such a great house, putting together the menu's, and schedules. Jared, thank you for getting a friend to loan the boat and for being so patient in letting everyone have fun boating. Myrissa the golden rocks and prizes really added to the fun and I think the kids will always remember the feeling of helping and sharing.

Everyone added something to make our reunion wonderful. I'm so proud of my family and the great talent that is shown by love and deed.

Work and family

Well Hospira is going through some big changes and I don't know what's going to happen. I know the sales force will be divided into two groups, the pharm and the pump group. I think I will end up on the pharm side selling generic drugs. The sad thing is I will probably lose my boss. He has been great and I hate to think who I might get as a new boss. I won't know until October.

On the bright side we have our family reunion coming up and we are going to have a blast up at Lake Tahoe. Grant and family will be coming early so the fun will start early!

Proud Papa

Jared baptized Doug and Melissa Fitzsimuons this last Saturday. They have been patients of Dr. Thomas DC since he worked in Marysville. They found Jared about six months ago and started to take the missionary lessons at Jared's house in Roseville. They live in Natomas and Jared had them start talking to the missionaries in Natomas. They even went to a picnic that the Ward in Natomas was giving and the missionaries were late, they called Jared and told him, "we don't know anyone" Jared said, "just tell someone you are investigating the church and you'll be fine". They did and the Ward really did a good job of making them feel at home. Jared confirmed them yesterday. What a great couple they are. They were asked to give their testimonies and Doug was to over come with the spirit. Their Bishop said the spirit is mostly water because it fills you up and comes out as tears.
D&C 18: 15

15 And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!

Myrna and I sang in another ward Sunday. Not bad for a couple of old timers. We also spoke in our own ward. Our topics were: Facing adversity in troubling times and Provident living. After church we enjoyed a great dinner at the Ferkin's. They were celebrating Collin's baby blessing with family.

Ouch!

Myrissa and boys were here for about a week and I know I had fun. Swimming, playing PAC MAN, Wii, going to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince ( dressed as Slughorn), playing at the pizza place, and just having a good time.

Why the Ouch!?

Well, Myrissa broke her little toe. I wish I could fix it with my magic wand. I did set it and I know it was very painful. Rissy was a brave girl and she went and had Jared X-Ray her toe and, yep, it had a break. Poor Rissy and her purple toe. (sounds like a book title)
